Excited...Nervous...Sad...Proud
That's how I felt watching the Cards get defeated (unfortunately) in yesterday's Super Bowl.
This was the first year (in the past years the kids have always been sick) we were able to join the Babcock's in one of their annual Super Bowl Bash Parties. Yippee!!! Lots of people, food, and fun. Oh...and I can't forget my mom's prayer candle that she brought...yep, you know which one I'm talking about.
I'm not very superstitious...well, maybe I am. But - I will say that when 4th quarter hit and the Cards were on fire...no one would move from their spot - or which TV they were watching it from. I was outside with the ladies holding Lily. She fell asleep in my arms as I was literally screaming, jumping up and down, hugging, and of course, doing my spirit fingers. All the while...still she sleeps. I wouldn't move - wouldn't put her down. I didn't want to tempt fate at all. Well, in the end - we all know what happened. Crappy calls...or, the Cards lost.
The Cards had a great season - a completely unexpected season. It was awesome!!
p.s. I forgot my camera - I know - crazy...so no pictures of the bash. So, instead I will leave you with this:

You are absolutely right. The Cards played a hell of a game, and made the entire state of Arizona proud. Don't make fun of the candles. I burn one continually and it really works.
I'm not making fun of the candles...I promise. Well, only a little. But...I will say that my mom lit one for us with every pregnancy and they totally work!
Lily was such an angel...didn't even budge in your arms! And I must say the group with all the women on the back porch was very loud:)
