Kindergarten - We're Coming!!

Today - Brady graduated from Pre-K.

No big deal, right?

Well...Brady's school celebrated the graduation with caps and gowns, tassels, and songs. The class of 2022 gave us a glimpse of what they have learned from intro to reading to weather to counting by 5's. Lots of singing - followed by diplomas - followed by food and pictures.

Of course, Nanny was there shedding tears.

As Mrs. Allison handed out the diplomas - she introduced each child giving a brief rundown about their likes/dreams. For example - "she loves to help her mom, she is good at coloring, and when she grows up she wants to be a dentist."

For Brady's description - it went down something like this: "Brady loves to play baseball. He is best at hitting baseballs. Baseball is his favorite. And, when he grows up, he wants to be a baseball player."

Could we have expected anything different? I think not.

Some of the cutest of the morning were:

Lots of dentist aspirations.

Lots of policeman aspirations.

Lots of fireman aspirations.

When she grows up, she wants to be a babysitter.

When he grows up, he wants to shave.

When she grows up, she wants to be tall.

Sooo adorable.

Congrats Brady - we officially have a Kindergartner in our house!!

2 Wheelin' It

For a long while...and I mean long...Brady has been wanting Bryan to take off his training wheels. You know what that means - lots of owies and bruises and scrapes and crying...right??

Well...not for this cutie.

On Friday during Glen's visit - while the boys men were installing some lighting in the garage, Brady asked again. And...this time - Bryan gave in. Off the training wheels went.

And - off went Brady.

Seriously.

No scrapes. No bruises. No band-aids.

That's it - he's ridin' 2 wheels now and he couldn't be more happy.

8 Years

Today is our 8 year wedding anniversary.

Wow.

In some ways, the last 8 years have flown by...yet, in other ways - not so much. I truly know our future is only filled with countless more.

As I write this, exactly 8 years ago - Bryan and I were sitting in our hotel room laughing, ordering pizza (yes we did), and glowing with only dreams of what our future would hold...among other things ;)

I can't believe it's been 8 years - I still feel like that giddy 22 year-old girl in love....

Ahhhhh - isn't that feeling great??

Although we decided to forego our norm anniversary date dinner - I did end up getting the best anniversary present ever!! My father-in-law has been visiting for the weekend (more about that later) and this weekend was full of lots and lots of handyman type work.

I guess there is something about his father visiting that kicks the hotties tush into gear and things get done.

Guess what happened while I was out...

Tonight I had a dinner with work - at my fave Don & Charlies...yummy!!

But...while I was gone, guess what Lily did...

YAY LILBUGS!! WHAT A BIG GIRL!

Our potty sings when you go pee, and apparently, since it she had never heard it before (since it had never been peed in) she freaked out and jumped up. Then, she wouldn't sit down until Bryan cleaned out the potty.

Wow!! I am SOOOO sad I missed it. But, there will be many more to come. Let's just hope we are on the way to undies, or should we now say panties?

Hmm...that makes me think. I call them undies with Brady, but I know my sister Ashley calls them panties with Rylee. Do you think our kids' gender dictates our vocabulary? Looks like it!
